PD 6: Kylar Kelly

The three scenes that are the funniest in Mid-Summer Night's Dream are 5.1, 3.1, and 1.2 because they make people laugh and are entertaining. In act 1, scene 2 the rude mechanicals were trying figure out every ones' role in the play. Bottom was trying to take over, and the play director was annoyed with him.In act 3, scene 1 Bottom turned into a donkey and all of his friends ran away from him in fear. They feared he had been turned into a monster and he was going to hurt or eat them. Finally, in act 5, scene 1 the rude mechanicals finally put on their play for Duke Theseus, Hyppolita, Lysander, Hermia, Demertius, And Helena. When the play begins the audience thinks the actors are being sarcastic, but the actors are all but serious. When they see the crowd laughing it causes them to momentarily pause, but then when Thisbe is about to kill herself, he gets very serious. After the performance they think they will be hanged if the duke was not impressed with their performance.In conclusion, Shakespeares' characters add to the already hilarious plot of the story.
